At AK Cars we take the privacy of your data seriously. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, for how long and what rights you have, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

2. What data we process
We only process the data you voluntarily provide:
- Quote form: name, email, phone, city of residence, details of the vehicle you are looking for, timescale, approximate budget and any comments you add.
- Contact form: name, email, phone (optional) and the content of your message.
- WhatsApp, email or Instagram: the data you share when you write to us through these channels.
- If you hire our services: in addition, the data needed to provide them, such as your ID/NIE, address or vehicle details, in order to manage the purchase, transport and registration.
We do not request special categories of data. Please do not include third-party data in your messages without their consent.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

We do not make automated decisions or create profiles with your data, and we will not send you advertising without your express consent.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quotes that do not become an order: for as long as needed to handle your request and, at most, 12 months from the last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Customers: for the duration of the relationship and, afterwards, for the periods required by law (for example, 6 years for commercial records and 4 years for tax records), as well as the time needed to deal with any claims.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties, except where required by law. To provide the service, the following may have access to it:
- Third parties needed for your transaction, only if you instruct us and to the extent strictly necessary: the seller or dealer at origin, the transport company, the administrative agency (gestoría), the ITV inspection station and the Spanish Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT).
- Public authorities (such as the Spanish Tax Agency or the DGT), where required by law.
- Technology providers acting as data processors:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): a service that forwards the website's forms to our email.
- Google (Gmail): the email service we use to receive and answer your messages.
- Cloudflare: hosting, security and delivery of the website, and anonymous visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), which do not use cookies or identify visitors.
If you write to us on WhatsApp or Instagram, those services are provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. under their own terms and privacy policies.
6. International transfers
Some of the providers listed may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, transfers are made with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. 7. Your rights
You may exercise your rights at any time:
- Access to your data.
- Rectification of inaccurate data.
- Erasure of your data.
- Objection to processing.
- Restriction of processing.
- Portability of your data.
- Withdrawal of consent, without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
To do so, write to us at ak.cars.import@gmail.com stating which right you wish to exercise. If necessary to verify your identity, we may ask you for additional information. We will reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe we have not processed your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
8. Minors
Our services are not aimed at children under 14. If you are under that age, please do not provide us with your data.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or alteration, such as the website's encrypted connection (HTTPS).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in our service. The current version will always be published on this page, with its date of update.
